25 years of partnership with ZEISS – visit to Feldbach

Since 2000, Gloor Instruments and ZEISS have enjoyed a close and successful partnership in the field of electron microscopy.

When we started out in 2000, the world of electron microscopy was a very different place. Yet even back then, our recipe for success was the same as it is today: working closely with our customers, providing outstanding service and delivering bespoke solutions.

As early as 24 years before the official partnership with ZEISS began, Fritz Gloor, the founder of our company, had already made a decisive mark on the Swiss market with EDX systems. With his passion for precision and his keen understanding of customers’ needs, he laid the foundations for the success of Gloor Instruments.

When the agency for LEO – which later became ZEISS – was taken over in 2000, a new era began: what had been a successful commercial agency evolved into a close and successful partnership.

What began back then with a great deal of pioneering spirit and personal commitment has developed into a collaboration that, to this day, is based on mutual trust, technical excellence and a long-term perspective.

Shared values, shared successes

Today, Gloor Instruments supports over 150 installations in Switzerland – around two-thirds in industry and one-third at academic institutions. This widespread presence is the result of a long-standing, trusting partnership with our customers, as well as our ongoing commitment to finding the best possible solution for every application.

Thanks to our close partnership with ZEISS, we are able to combine state-of-the-art technology with personalised support – a commitment that has shaped everything we do for the past 25 years.
