The Oxford Instruments alphaCART is a portable, confocal Raman system for the chemical analysis of large, immovable or valuable objects directly on site. The flexibly positionable Raman probe brings high-performance Raman spectroscopy to the sample – ideal when examination under a conventional microscope is not possible.

Thanks to its high confocality and signal sensitivity, measurements can even be taken through protective glass or windows. This makes the alphaCART suitable, amongst other things, for investigating chemical processes in reaction chambers, as well as for applications in the arts, archaeology, geosciences and materials science.
